The Atlas Orthogonal Chiropractic Method

This method is so gentle that many patients cannot believe an adjustment has actually taken place until they they notice that their discomfort has been relieved!

Atlas Orthogonal is a gentle, effective and proven Chiropractic technique that does not utilize physical manipulation.

Atlas is the top Vertebrae of the Spine and supports the head.
Orthogonal means at right angle to or square.  If the Atlas is not square to the head and Spine (referred to as subluxated) then the head and spine are by necessity out of alignment . Essentially if the head is not on straight then the Spine cannot possibly be straight. The resulting stress that ensues may cause discomfort to the Back, Shoulders, Pelvis, Hips, Knees and Ankles.

In the examples at upper right, a normal Atlas is aligned squarely with both the Spine and Skull. A misaligned or subluxated Atlas is not square.

The upper left example clearly depicts the effects of a subluxated Atlas on the entire Skeletal frame. The resulting stress and discomfort may be felt far from the source of the real fault, This sometimes makes an accurate medical diagnosis difficult.

The Atlas Orthogonal Instrument

The adjustment instrument is a safe, gentle, and precise method of adjusting a misaligned (subluxated) Atlas Vertebrae, without physical manipulation. The Stylus delivers a precise impulse to the exact area needed as determined by X-rays.

Activator Method

Evolved from 35 years of empirical study and 15 years of clinical research, the Activator Methods Chiropractic Technique (AMCT) uses the latest advances in orthopedic, neurological and chiropractic examinations to seek joint dysfunction in the spinal column and extremities for improved patient care.

AMCT uses the Activator Adjusting Instrument to give consistent low-force, high-speed chiropractic adjustments. Over 35,000 doctors have been trained in AMCT and 2,100 doctors are Proficiency Rated, making AMCT the most widely used technique worldwide; a testament to low force patient satisfaction.

Gonstead Method

Dr. C. S. Gonstead (1898-1978) the "Miracle Man" of Chiropractic. His technique became the Hall Mark for the entire profession. With a background in mechanical engineering, he saw the human spine as an intricate engineering wonder and he studied it every chance he had. His work with thousands of spinal cases, his constant clinical studies of the spine, and his own innate knowledge of how the spine works, explains his ingenuity in finding, identifying and correcting subluxations no one else could.

Another technique which is used in this office is called the Gonstead chiropractic method. The technique is characterized by a very thorough analysis of the patient using a variety of different parameters in order to determine the specific areas of stress in the spine (subluxations). These subluxations, in turn, are corrected with a highly precise and specific adjustment.

The result: a faster, better, and more permanent correction of your spine than can be obtained from general mobilization/manipulation methods.
